Criteria for Assessing the Quality of Primary General Education

This article discusses the main approaches to the development of quality criteria for primary General education. Turning to the question of the possibility of developing a single integrated criterion, the authors note that the complexity of this issue is due to the numerous elements of the educational system, the diversity and complexity of factors affecting the state of the educational system and the quality characteristics of the results of educational activities, the practical impossibility of unification, taking into account all the specific features of various educational institutions. Based on the analysis of a number of sources, the authors consider the ratio of different components of the educational process, the evaluation of which can be made on different criteria. Taking into account the specifics of the stage of primary General education, the authors emphasize the combination of criteria to assess the quality of the system, procedural and effective components of the educational process. Special attention is paid to the criteria reflecting achievement of the educational results determined by the Federal state educational standard of the primary General education as in practice of educational institutions these criteria form the basis of the most part of methods of estimation of quality of primary education.
