Forms and Methods of Support of the Gifted Youth

The article deals with the problem of ensuring the innovative development of the state, focuses on the early identification and development of talented young people, providing them with support by professional educational institutions. The authors acquaint with practical experience of identification, support and training of gifted youth in educational institutions of secondary professional education of the Novosibirsk region. The criteria of classification of the manifestation of talent and giftedness are investigated. The goals and objectives of identifying talented and gifted young people, aimed at supporting non-standard personality through special training programs, participation in creative and professional competitions, personal scholarships, psychological assistance to solve the age-related or specific problems inherent to gifted young people. The basic forms of support of gifted, talented young people are offered by means of moral and material stimulation. Methods of realization of potential opportunities of youth as a priority task of modern society are analyzed.
