The article deals with perspective directions of the development of the system of additional vocational education in the context of solving the problems of teacher’s professional standard. We actualize the problem of readiness of modern teachers to implement new work functions, and offer possible solutions.

This article describes the civilizational and formational approaches in the social sciences, its varieties and implications of the economy and politics of the USSR and Russia. The peculiarities of the Russian culture and the application of the civilizational approach to it are revealed. The concept of national ideal as the general law of cultural development is summarized, and the issue of civilizational fault of Russia is considered.

The article presents the analysis of the structure and content of the training session in the aspect of modern didactics. In the last decade in the Russian historical science has increased the interest in the events of the period of the Napoleonic wars. In the attention of historians are different aspects of the given issue: the characterization of the individual stages of the campaign, the degree of participation in the campaigns of different types of troops, military strategy and Russian foreign policy in the early nineteenth century.

In the article we focus on the industrial development of Siberian fuel-and-energy sector viewed by the West German authors who worked in the scientific institutions of Ostforschung (East Studies). We make also the assessments of major projects starting with Bratsk hydro-electric power station construction to West Siberian oil-and-gas provinces development.

We present our scientific study of the optimization of evaluation system of professional development of pedagogical employees. This article contains the issues of the increasing role of practical orientation and readiness of graduates. We examine the system of evaluation of professional and personal competencies of vocational education teachers. The analysis of optimization of human resources of the educational institution, the systematization and adjustment of previously obtained knowledge are described.

In the article we analyze the experience of the Great Britain universities in ensuring equal educational opportunities of migrant students. Special attention is given to the structure of English universities and the way the pedagogical support of socialization and individualization processes of this group of students is organized.
