The article is devoted to research o f the problems related to definition o f emotional perception o f artistic image as one o f the mechanisms o f formation o f self-consciousness and development o f selected moral qualities in teenagers. The analysis of philosophical, psychological and pedagogical works allowed the authors to determine the main meanings q o f the concepts o f "artistic image', "artistic image perception" and "emotion". The research characterizes the specifics o f jJJ perception o f artistic image and notes the integrity o f the artistic image as a basic component for educational influence potential o f emotional perception.
