In the article the author considers the problem of ensuring child safety through the creation and development of a safe environment as the main characteristics of society. The changing global geopolitical situation, geographical location of industrial and agricultural production, the growing influence of the mass media, the spread of non-scientific approaches to the explanation of the phenomena of animate and inanimate nature have led to increased adverse effects of the environment on the younger generation. 

Special attention must be paid to the unwillingness of modern pedagogical science to participate in countering the negative influence of the environment, in particular, informative. There is a task to modernize the list of risks, to develop research and solutions in this area.
