The relevance of the research of the article is due to environmental problems associated with the development of the man-made world based on technologies that negatively affect the environment, changing its structure and balance. The purpose of the article is to develop a method for the formation of professional qualities of students studying the discipline Technosphere safety, which would ensure their eco-oriented approach in the development of safe technologies for the environment. The leading method to investigate this problem is the O. I. test. Motkova “Psychological culture of personality” for assessing the personal qualities of a student within the framework of his self-actualization and selfmanifestation, which reflect the main indicators of their inner aspirations and value attitude to environmental safety. As a result, a method of studying technosphere safety was developed, forming students’ personal qualities that will allow them to perform professional practical tasks on the development of environmentally friendly technologies based on an environmentally-oriented approach. The use of the developed method in the field of practical education will allow to form the necessary professional qualities of future engineers of the polytechnic university, allowing them to become qualified specialists in the field of technosphere security.
