The Genesis of the Concept of «Counseling» in Pedagogical Science

Currently, counseling is undergoing changes and adaptation in constantly changing life circumstances. Pedagogical counseling arose in response to the needs of children and their parents who are looking for help and support from a qualified specialist. This type of assistance is one of the main forms of practical application of the professional capabilities of a teacher. The article presents the main definitions of counseling based on the analysis of social and pedagogical sources, comparison of concepts and approaches to the definition of counseling.

The article explores the philosophical and pedagogical potential of studying the ethics of computer games. The ethical evaluation of games involves identifying the nature of ethical choices and ethical opportunities in the rules and the game world, as well as assessing the translation of ethical values presented in the game and forms of consolidation of ethical experience experienced by the player. Ethical analysis of games has traditionally been carried out using key philosophical ethical theories: consequentialism, deontology, and virtue ethics.

Exercises in Russian Sign Language Interpreter Training: New Approaches and Perspectives

Russian Sign Language (RSL) interpreter training can be recognized as a relatively young field that is still going through a period of formation. It is subject to constant change and experiments that help to search for more effective methods and approaches. Deaf people need both the increasing number of RSL interpreters and the improved quality of services provided. This article describes a set of exercises designed to enhance RSL interpreter training.

The problem of Development of Functional Literacy of Students& Extra-Curriculum Activity: Pragma Aspect

This opus examines functional literacy as a value in a practical aspect. It is emphasized that the formation of “soft skills” contributes both to harmonize the development of the personality of students, and contributes to an increase in motivation for the acquisition of subject knowledge. The author claims that the formation of global competencies is an integrative process that can be effectively implemented into the extracurricular activities of an educational institution in accord with the programme of the educational work.

Material Adaptation Applying Differentiated Approach to Teaching Foreign Languages

Among modern approaches to teaching foreign languages differentiation is capable of taking into account individual characteristics, needs, interests and abilities of foreign language learners. Influencing learner motivation and providing appropriate conditions for being successful in the foreign language classroom the approach equips teachers with tools to encourage learner autonomy and independence, and to increase their sense of achievement, which appear due to successfully completed tasks and developed foreign language and communication skills.

Current State and Prospects

The purpose of this pilot study is seen as updating and drawing attention to the problems of organizing tutor support for students. The research part includes the presentation of the results of a survey of the current state of the organization of the tutor support process, in the aspect of «tutor — tutor» interaction, an analysis of the presence of problem areas in the organization of the current tutor support of students in the context of the implementation of individual educational trajectories.

Formation of Professional Qualities Among Students of the Polytechnic University in the Direction of «Technosphere Safety»

The relevance of the research of the article is due to environmental problems associated with the development of the man-made world based on technologies that negatively affect the environment, changing its structure and balance. The purpose of the article is to develop a method for the formation of professional qualities of students studying the discipline Technosphere safety, which would ensure their eco-oriented approach in the development of safe technologies for the environment. The leading method to investigate this problem is the O. I. test.

Content and Language Integrated Reading Training in the “Technical And Aviation English” Course: Specifics, Main Goals, And Challenges

The paper under consideration is devoted to the issues of foreign language training of the technical university students — future aviation specialists, as well as the foreign reading skills development. According to the analysis of the scientific literature and comparing both foreign and domestic teaching experience, the intensification and improvement of this process has proved to be extremely relevant within the modern paradigm of higher education, due to the common use of English in the aviation industry.
