The 4K Concept as an Idea to Describe the Technology for the Formation of Universal Skills

The transition to the process of digitalization and training of personnel for the modern economy in a changing labor market has actualized the problem of the formation and implementation of universal skills in the digital educational environment. The article presents an approach to applying the case-study method in the format of network seminars (online) for teachers of secondary vocational institutions. The purpose of the article is to describe the process of updating the case-study method as a way of mutual assessment of soft skills (creativity, critical thinking, cooperation, communication) and the presentation of the case system in the form of 4K technology. The main method of the study was the process of mutual assessment of teachers’ level of soft skills in online conditions (48 people). The analysis of the process showed the effectiveness of the systematic application of the case-study method as a method of mutual assessment and a variant of technology that gives effectiveness. In the course of this study, it was revealed that, in a comprehensive assessment of four universal competencies (creativity, critical thinking, cooperation, communication), the indicators of creativity among teachers are the lowest, and the indicators of communication and the process of team formation in the network are higher.
