The article reveals the importance of language for each culture and the role of devoting a large amount of time to intercultural communication in the lessons of Russian as a foreign language. The emphasis is placed on the connection between the teaching of RCT and intercultural communication, appropriate explanations and conclusions are given. Materials and methods. The article analyzes the traditional and modern teaching programs of the RCT.
