The process of social and economic development of the country is specified by new innovations including the foundation
of different types of clusters which are becoming the centers of integration and concentration of enterprises, scientific
institutions and educational organizations. The educational and industrial clusters play a special role, since they integrate
the educational institutions of different levels and educational program specialization interconnected with each other
by the core enterprises of a certain region. The article deals with the problems related to the educational and industrial
cluster foundation in regions, the most widespread types of clusters are distinguished and the premises facilitating their
foundation are analyzed. The authors present the practical experience of Novosibirsk College of Car Service and Public
Road System (Novosibirsk) and LLC "Urai Oil-Field Equipment-Service" (Urai, Khanty-Mansi Autonomous Region) which
initiated the foundation of educational and industrial cluster in the municipal district.
