Conditions for the Professional and Personal Development of a Future Teacher

The article focuses on the main trends and conditions of professional and personal development of a future teacher at a university. The relevance of the research is justified by the modern requirements of society to the personality and the level of professionalism of the teacher. The purpose of the study is to analyze the concept of «professional and personal development», to define and experimentally verify the conditions of professional and personal development of a future teacher. The article deals with the problem of the formation of professional and personal qualities of a future teacher capable of high-quality education. Based on the theoretical analysis of the problem, the essence of the concept of «professional and personal development of a future teacher» is clarified, which is interpreted as a complex, diverse and continuous process where personal growth is carried out based on the development of professional values, the development of professional behavior and personal qualities. The study was conducted using theoretical and empirical research methods: analysis, synthesis, generalization, systematization, observation, questioning, testing, statistical data processing. The evaluation of the effectiveness of the professional and personal development of the future teacher was carried out on the basis of a survey, expert assessments and observation. The identified learning conditions contribute to the positive dynamics of professional and personal development. The results of the study were obtained: 16,8 % of the trainees reached a high level of development, 49,5 % above average, 49,5 % average, 7,8 % low, 4,1 % unacceptable. It is concluded that the success of the professional and personal development of a future teacher largely depends on the conditions created, the methods, techniques and technologies used, the desire to actualize self-education, selfeducation, and self-development.
