Conceptual Ideas of Russian Pedagogy of the Late 19th and early 20 centuries and their Application in the Modern Educational Process

This article focuses on the main problem of education the essence of which lies in between two opposing trends of the world development: on the one hand, mobility, on the other, the need for high-quality human education. An analysis of the ideas of teachers of the 19th century will allow us to choose the most correct educational policy strategy. The identified constants regarding both the tasks of personal development and the essence of the educational process in the works of Russian teachers of the 19th century allow us to determine that the vector of broad and cultural education of the individual, being basic (fundamental), subordinates the vector of special, in-depth (quality) education. In turn, broad education correlates with one of the main tasks of human development, which follows from its natural essential basis - the desire for self-realization and self-development (self-education) in life. In this regard, the use of hermeneutics methods in the educational process will expand its capabilities within the human development.
