Trends of the Development of Tyumen Teachers in the post-war yearsThe article presents the difficulties faced by Tyumen teachers AT the end of the Great Patriotic War in the USSR. The purpose of the study is to study the state of Tyumen education, as well as to identify problems in the activities of teachers in the post-war period. The author has relied on the following research methods: historical-structural (identifying pedagogical connections within the school system) and historical-comparative (comparing and contrasting various historical periods in the development of school education). The main sources for the work were the documents from the State Archive of the Tyumen Region (GATO). Obviously, trends in the development of teacher education in 1945– 1953 were identified. Various factors related to the problem of teaching staff are considered like the length of service, level of education of teachers, average workload in various subjects. We state that teachers' innovation in teaching helped in improvement of the educational results of schoolchildren. In conclusion, we state that the joint efforts of city schools, the Institute for Teacher Improvement and the Tyumen State Pedagogical Institute helped to modernize the teaching system. Despite the difficulties of the transition from war to peacetime, teachers showed positive results in the development of the school education system in Tyumen.
