The Modernization of Vocational Education and the Development of Innovative Activity in the Novo-sibirsk Region

In the article we identify the conditions and opportunities for the development of research, innovation and business activity in educational institutions of higher education of Novosibirsk region, and show integrative inter-institutional communication. Some management processes of implementing government programs in terms of promoting innovation are analyzed.

Developing Effective History and Social Studies Lessons

We consider some approaches to the effectiveness of modern school courses of history and social studies. The attention is paid to the recent developments in teaching social sciences according to the government requirements and public inquiries. We show a block-based approach to developing lessons with regard to the internal relationships and productivity of teaching activity.

In the article we analyze the Concept of a new educational and methodical complex on Russian history and the Historical and Cultural Standard as its component. The importance of historiographical knowledge in the formation of a unified national historical space of the Russian Federation is shown on the example of one of the difficult questions of Russian history in accordance with the Concept, that are the formation of Old Russian state and the role of the Vikings in this process.

The article presents the analysis of the structure and content of the training session in the aspect of modern didactics. Russian Foreign Policy at the Beginning of the XIXth Century: From Historiography to the School Textbook

In the last decade in the Russian historical science has increased the interest in the events of the period of the Napoleonic wars. In the attention of historians are different aspects of the given issue: the characterization of the individual stages of the campaign, the degree of participation in the campaigns of different types of troops, military strategy and Russian foreign policy in the early nineteenth century.
