Improving Students’ Communicative Skills in Additional Foreign Language Education

This article is devoted to the improvement of schoolchildren’s communicative and creative skills and abilities of in the process of teaching a foreign language (FL) in the system of additional foreign language education. An important direction of the circle work is the purposeful and conscious pupils’ improvement of speech skills and abilities in the process of fulfilling special tasks in listening, speaking and reading. By their nature they may differ from those traditionally used in the lessons of the FL, or complement and expand them.

The Model of the Methodical System of the Formation of Humanitarian Culture in Additional Foreign-language Education

In this article the author of the research describes the structure and the contents of the model and technology of the formation of humanitarian culture of linguistically gifted school students in the course of teaching them a foreign language in the system of additional foreign-language education which were developed on the basis of the concept. The model consists of four interconnected blocks: conceptual, theoretical, diagnostic and technological. The technology is presented by substantial, procedural and productive characteristics.

The Methodical Features of the Creation of the Experimental Program "Travelling Around English-Speaking Countries" in the Course of Humanitarian Training of School Students

In this article the author describes the development and implementation of the experimental program "Travelling around English-Speaking Countries" in the course of humanitarian training of school students in teaching a foreign language in the modern system of additional foreign-language education. She contributes to the development of pupils’ abilities to work independently, to activization of their productive abstract thinking and the highest intellectual processes.

Course for Choice in Teaching Linguistically Gifted School Students

In this article the author places the emphasis that linguistically gifted pupils have to own debatable abilities, metacommunication signals, know the main strategy and tactics of foreign-language communication, school students learn about it from the course for choice developed by the researcher "Russian and the English speech etiquette: similarities and distinctions".

Competence Approach to the Formation |И of Humanitarian Culture of the Future Teachers | of a Foreign Language

Changes in the modern society put forward the task of humanizing the teaching and educational process, and, (L accordingly, the formation o f the humanitarian culture o f the individual. The authors o f the article in the content o f the student's human culture include a set o f universal human ideas, value orientations, creative ways o f professional activity, formed humanitarian qualities; competence approach is considered to be a methodological basis for the formation of the humanitarian culture of students in the process of teaching a foreign language.

Principles of the Formation of Humanitarian Culture in Linguistically Gifted School Students in the Course of Teaching a Foreign Language

In this article the author describes the application o f a number o f the principles in teaching a foreign language linguistically gifted school students in the modern system o f additional foreign-language education on the basis o f which spe- S cial programs o f teaching this category o f pupils are under construction.
